Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Radiant Bronze Light - Review & Swatches

Hey beauties. I'm back with a brand new post and today, I am talking about the Hourglass Bronzer. First of all, I love Hourglass packaging. It's sleek, classy and very chic, also I love the bronze color of their packaging as well. It can get fingerprints on it, but I don't mind it that much, it's easy to clean. There are two shades to choose from, Luminous Bronze Light and Radiant Bronze Light. I have the darker of the two, but I remember when I swatched it at the store at the time of purchasing this, I didn't see much of a difference between them really. Maybe it was the store lighting or whatever else, the difference wasn't too obvious, but I still went for the "darker" one which the description for it is "a warm bronze shade fused with Radiant Light, a golden beige powder, to mimic a summer glow. Ideal for medium/deep complexions" which for my medium skin, sounds it will suit it best.

This bronzer has silky smooth texture similar to the feel of Ambient Lighting Powders. The shade and tone is a warm bronze/ brown with slight shimmer to it. I use it to bronze up my face and use it where the sun would naturally hit and tan me, and sometimes, I even use it as contour. I feel like it doesn't look orange or too warm on me personally, but I have read and heard from a lot of people say that it looks orange on their skin. I feel like on a person with lighter skin, this could look orange if it's used heavily, but with a light hand, it can look very natural and pretty. Also, I find the slight shimmer this bronzer has, doesn't transfer onto face all that much. It looks more luminous on the face than shimmery. It just helps it blend easier and not look muddy or blotchy as some matte bronzers can do. Now don't forget that the swatch on the picture is a lot more pigmented and concentrated as it would be on the skin. I used a little more to show the shade and the shimmer to it but by no means I would use this much on my skin. Also, another thing to remember about this product is that it's called bronzer so it's used to bronze up the face and might not work as a contour shade for everybody. Contour powders are more natural if it's cool toned and matte, so let's not get them mixed. Another use I have for this product is eyeshadow! Maybe it's just me, but I like to use this as a single eyeshadow look, and also I use it in the crease of my eyes for a warm transition color. So I love using it as it is created for, bronzer, eyeshadow and sometimes blush. Blush doesn't always have to be peach or pink. I personally love bronze colored blushes.

Overall, I really like this bronzer and have been using it ever since I bought it.(six months ago) I haven't made a dent in it and I am sort of glad for that since this stuff is pretty expensive and I really don't want it to finish too fast since I'm enjoying it so much. A little of this goes a long way, so that might also be the reason. This has been my go to bronzer and I don't see myself using anything else.
