L'Oreal Visible Lift CC Concealer - Review

I'm back with another review from L'Oreal. This one is the CC concealer I decided to try out. As I always mention in my posts, the products I review aren't something I bought a few days ago. I usually use then for a couple of months, or the least one month before reviewing them. This is no exception, so I have had this concealer for a while now and have been using it almost constantly.

This concealer comes in a tube with a metal roller ball. The cold metal roller ball feels amazing on tired eyes. The consistency of the concealer is very thin, and light weight. It's also sheer, so it's light coverage I would say. It blends easily into the skin and because of how thin and sheer it is, it looks very natural but at the same time, it brightens my under eye very naturally. I think it's because of the thin consistency that it doesn't crease. I have very little darkness under my eyes, I don't even think you would call it darkness, more as a little shadowy maybe? I don't know but I don't need that much coverage anyway so this works perfectly for me. Now if you have a lot of darkness under your eyes, I don't think this would be that great. For me, it gives it the perfect brightness. Not cake-y or obvious like some other concealers are. It lasts a decent amount of time, I would say five to six hours. Then it's not as bright as it  was before. I wouldn't say it's the longest lasting concealer.

Overall, I actually like this concealer for what it does for me. It's not anything amazing or wowing. I wouldn't recommend it to those with dark under eyes who need a good coverage concealer. But if you are like me and are just looking for a thin, sheer, and comfortable concealer that brightens the under eye naturally, this is perfect for that.

Origins Drink Up 10 Minute Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst - Review

Today I'm reviewing another face mask, this one is from Origins. This one is perfect for dry skin, or skin with dry patches. I have dry cheeks and sometimes my chin. That's the area that needs the most moisture for me and if I don't moisturize it well and keep it hydrated, under makeup it can look dry and patchy. I discovered this mask a while back and have been using it ever since I got it.

This comes in a squeeze tube. The product has a white, creamy smooth texture. It feels like a rich moisturizer. It smells like apricots, very yummy and delicious, fresh refreshing scent. I cleanse my skin, pat dry then apply this mask. It goes on the face very easily. After the first five minutes, the product sort of starts to disappear, as in it becomes transparent. It's still on the face and I can feel it, but it's not really white anymore as it was first applied. It doesn't absorb into the skin or anything and when I touch my face, I can feel the stickiness of the product. As per the instructions, I keep it on for ten minutes then remove it with a damp warm paper towel. I find this mask to clean off easier with a towel or paper towel, rather than just rinsing with water. It leaves my skin very hydrated and moisturized, but not oily. This is expensive compared to drugstore prices, but compared to higher end, it is inexpensive.

I find myself reaching for this more during winter rather than summer. I think this mask works really well, but if you are looking for this to cure the dry skin or dry patches on your face, this might not be what you are looking for. I personally really like this and will use it up. It's a nice moisturizing mask but I don't expect it to do miracles and I'm satisfied with the result.

L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation - Review

As I have mentioned before in my blog, I usually have sort of a hard time with foundations. I can't seem to find one I love... There's always some sort of issue with it that I can't ignore. The biggest issue for me is getting the right shade. I swear, a foundation can be the yellowest tone and it'll still look pink on me somehow haha. I've been doing a lot of searching and watching reviews and I've been actually trying out several different drugstore foundations. My thing with foundation is that, I don't want to spend a lot of money on it if the drugstore can do the job. So What I did first was trying out different drugstore foundations that would suit of skin tone and type. I had in my mind that if none of them worked, I would go to higher end foundations. Funny thing is that, before this decision, I didn't really have any foundations. I think I had one high end which was okay so I just used that. So I didn't really know any of the drugstore foundations and hadn't used any believe it or not.

Long story short (not really),  my skin type is very mixed. I have normal to combination in summer, dry to normal in winter. So picking out foundations would be sort of tricky, but I think I've got it down. I mostly look for foundations suitable for dry to normal skin and powder my t-zone if I have to. I said all that to come to the point of this post, which is why I picked this L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation. This is one of the foundations I picked from the drugstore and since it's from the Visible Lift line which is targeted for more mature skin, which mature skin is usually dry skin type (it's what I've heard and read since I'm not at that age yet), I thought this would maybe work for me.

This foundation comes in a squeeze tube. It has a creamy consistency and it feels like a mix of mouse and liquid. It doesn't have a smell, and it goes on the face very smoothly. It feels very light weight, to the point that it doesn't feel like I have anything on. The coverage is light to medium I would say, because it's buildable. This evens out my skin tone and my skin looks very smooth and "blurred" as the name of the foundation suggests. I'm also happy to say, THAT I FOUND MY PERFECT SHADE YOU GUYS!!!! As it shows in the picture, I picked up two shades, which one is slightly darker than the other. I could use the darker and be okay with it, but 206 Natural beige is the exact color of my skin. I'm so happy to have found one that the color looks like it just melts into my skin and matches my neck perfectly. The finish of this foundation is very natural, a hint of sheen which can be covered with a light layer of powder easily if I wanted. In summer, this can get a little shiny with the hot weather, so that makes the foundation not last as long. I tried this out in summer and wanted to test how it would work in a colder weather, so I've been using this recently, since it's fall and weather is cooler and I like it so much more for colder weather. I think this would be my perfect winter foundation. Overall, I had a pretty pleasant experience with this foundation and will keep using it. Also, I will make sure to do different blog posts about the other foundations I'm trying out and give you my opinion. I know I might be late to the game to a lot of the drugstore foundations, but hey, they're new to me so I hope you will read and enjoy just a much as a brand new product.

Thanks for sticking with me through this ramble-y long post. I hope I didn't bore you to sleep. Muah

Jamieson Provitamina A Retinol Renewal Night Cream - Review

Hello to you all! Today I'm reviewing this Jamieson Retinol Renewal Night Cream that I've been using for a while now. The jar is pretty big and has a lot of product inside it, so it takes a while to use up, let me tell you.. haha

I initially bought this because I was looking for a retinal night cream and was happy to find one in my drug store. It comes in a sturdy plastic jar with a lot of product inside. It has a rich, thick creamy consistency. A little of this can be enough for my whole face, so a little goes a long way. It's very moisturizing but it's not oily or leaving my skin oily feeling. I apply this at night, since it is a night cream, and it leaves my skin very soft and refreshed feeling the next day. I've been using this a long while now, I am actually almost done with this cream and I can honestly say, I haven't seen much difference from when I started using this till now. I would say this is an okay, nice cream but nothing wowing or life changing or anything. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a good, normal night cream but if you're looking for it to change or do something super amazing, I don't think this is it.

I am glad that it didn't break me out or anything, because some rich face creams can be heavy for my skin and get irritating. This didn't do that which I'm really glad, but then I didn't see a difference in my skin so I don't know. I guess this would be good for when I want a normal, easy night cream. I'm not sure if I would repurchase this anytime soon. I might want to try something else, but it's good to keep it in the back of my mind when I'm not looking for my night cream to do much other than moisturize I guess. haha

Too Faced Stardust by Vegas Nay - Review & Swatches

Happy November everyone!! Today I am talking about the Too Faced Stardust palette that I've been wanting for the longest time. Every time I wanted to order it, it was sold out and I kid you not, waited for this to come back in stock for over a month, it could even be two months. So when I got the email that it was back in stock, I ordered it right away and the same night it was sold out again, so I was real glad to have got my hands on it when I did! Believe it or not, I don't have anything from Too Faced, other than an eye primer, so this was a great way to try out their products as well as satisfy my love for eye palettes.

This whole set comes with a palette that contains 12 nice sized matte and shimmer eyeshadows, six how-to-guide eye looks created by Vegas Nay, deluxe Better Than Sex mascara, deluxe Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer, loose glitter pigment in Nude Beam. The shade selection in my opinion is awesome and it's very thoughtfully put together. It has a good mix of finishes, cool and warm tones, both matte and shimmer shades are included. I could just use this palette alone, and not need any other eyeshadow to create a full look. I love that about this palette. The eyeshadows are very pigmented, creamy beautiful shades. This palette can create the most natural look or the smokiest dark look if you desire. I love how the top row, has the basic shades every eye look might need, AND it has a matte black which I think it's essential for me personally. I love using matte black eyeshadow as a liner. It also has some fun purple, lilac, gold shades to make it more fun if you want. The shades work together very nicely, it also blends easily, it's just easy to work with and I have had no issues with fall outs so far.

The packaging of this palette is very light weight, but it is also sturdy and well made. It's perfect for travel. It can also be a very great gift as well. The time I was waiting for this palette to come back in stock, I was debating on whether to get this palette at all. I did my research as I always do and I just fell more in like? with this palette and I really wanted to have it. So all I am saying is that, I didn't buy it impulsively, I saw a lot of different reviews to make sure I was getting my moneys worth. Before getting it, i was in like now I'm in love hahaha... I really am happy with my purchase and it was also a good first experience with Too Faced products.
